okay so i just found the snapped off piece in the bottom of my center console compartment. no way to get it back on huh?

will jb work on aluminium? and will it be strong enough to hole the valve cover bolt?

This shit works awesome for repairs like this:
Dura Fix Aluminum Welding Aluminum Brazing Aluminum Soldering & Repair Rod
You can do it on the car but you need a really good & extremely hot torch. I repaired a cylinder head bolt with it on my boat and never had an issue (thats under combustion preasure also) and yours is not.

You can order it from the Eastwood Company. Thats where I got mine. It's a little cheaper.

Hopefully you aren't building cars for anybody!! Poor forum advice if he wants it done right. If you really want it done correctly, take it to a fab. shop and have them fill it and then resurface it correctly. Head must come off though. If you don't give a shit and its a beater, JB as last resort.
