Datsun Dreaming
Apparently its a common problem when converting to Z32 uprights on S14's. Which I wasn't aware of untill today. I have an omnious clunking sound coming from my rear rear suspension. The shock mount is cocked to the side awkwardly relative to the coil-over bracket and its distorting the bushing pretty badly not completely fucked yet, but it wont last long. I need to raise the car a bit and lengthen the traction rod some, then get an alignment to dial in camber and toe it should level everything back out. If not I'll but spherical shock mounts.
Side not, newest episode of top gear was pretty neat.

The torrents are available on mininova.org. This season's shows are 12x1 and 12x2. This comes on at 8pm Sundays on BBC2 in England, which is 3pm 'merican time. So by about 5pm the new torrent is up and really flying. If you're paying attention and have cable/fiber, it should be no problem to watch it the same day it comes out.
Download it from Finalgear.com using bit torrent.
I found it funny that jerm is going to buy a ZR1 (or so he said)! The drifting of the mountain road switch back in the ZR1 was fucking awesome! I was glad they all liked their cars its nice to hear them speak well of them for once. I LOL'd big time when I saw May giggle while driving the CTS-V through the mountains then pass jermey in the ZR1 all of a sudden.

The Poly/grease fitting mod along with SPL traction rods has made a huge difference in driving the car. The alignment is the worst its ever been, but I can feel the suspension do its job better than ever. My stock traction rod wouldnt move more than 2-3 inches up and down, no wonder I kept lifting the inside rear wheel! I stiffened up the front spring tension a little bit and that seems to help even though my front wheels want to try and U-turn at the moment. Over all I'm very happy with how it turned out. I cant imagine what its like driving chris's car with all spherical bearings, thats just gotta be amazing. Also my car is alot nicer to drive around on the streets (still noisy and rattles alot.) It dosnt jump and skitter over bumps in the pavement any more it seems to take them alot more gracefull, its still harsh but it dosnt loose traction and suck trying to keep the car in check. I can toss the car into a corner and know exactly how its going to react even if I hit a bump mid corner it dosnt break loose. I havent really gotten to beat on it yet for account of weird noise I still need to completly track down and my alignment being terrible. But over all it feels like a new car
If your on a budget I suggest doing the poly/grease fitting mod if you have the chance it really helps out.
