Are you really that tall? I never really noticed I guess... lol.

I'm 6'3" and my S14 had a sunroof too. I never used the stock S14 seats though, so I can't really comment there. I had side mount buckets with NAMS low rails. Didn't fit great with a helmet on, but just driving normally I had plenty of room. My S13 with no sunroof and the same seat/NAMS rail was by far the best Plenty of headroom!

 

Red car had no sun roof and had tons of room, White car had sun roof and I lost atleast 2"

Grey car has no sun roof and its about the same as Red car.

 

I don't get sunroofs, No one truly enjoys having one in they're car.

 

i'm 5'8, never had a prob with or without a helmet, would hit a couple times at desoto, but nothing hard, side mount seat and low rails it clears just fine, and it's nice having the windows down, and the sunroof back.

 

The sunroof in the blue car was the only thing I didn't like about it. I will never buy another s14 with one.

 

I was thinking of ways to eliminate mine. I just do not have a use for it.

 

1. Buy another s14
or
2. Swap roof skins

 

I liked the sun roof, I used it every day when I had the white car.

 

Thats what i did.

I measured the exact spot where the sunroof sits on the roof and cut that same piece of metal out of a spare parts car that I was going to junk anyways. I was kinda forced into doing this when my motor decided to take a shit then i had ppl wanting to sell me thier sunroof assemblys for $200+

I am not a fan of them anyhow so it worked out.

 

I used the sunroof in the blue car a total of 3 times when I owned it. I used to hate when other people pulled the cover back too hot sun burning head isn't cool.
