for the record, a GTR trans a tad more that just pulling out and installing... it's not like a SR/KA/LSZOMG1.. especially by yourself...

wait till i post the pic of the handfull of bits, ball bearings, springs, and brackets that fell out of the gear box when i cracked it open... hard to believe i drove it down to tampa, and have been dailying it for the last two weeks with all those bits floating around in there..

We got what looked to be a gold nugget from jorges trans, except aluminum colored, two of them really, it was a big chunk of the shift fork, didnt find too much else horrible.

Now to look into parts to completely rebuild it, since he wants a really fresh trans.

Also, new non-leaking coolant feed line did NOT fix my over heating issue. I am really at a loss right now, I had to ride to GA instead of drive my own fucking car.

Someone has to have some kind of idea of what the hell is going on, I am obviously missing something small.

new trans behind me going in, after i address the oil pan/block oil leak...

EDIT: i'm not doing any of the work, since i don't build/fix/fab shit, i'm just sitting back, watching me redo everything in an out of body exp.
If I had to guess where the shifter is, i would had said up your ass, since it looks like you are sitting on something and enjoying it while at it.

Maybe that's the joy one gets from working in a GTR, I'll never know.

LMAO.
but kevin found it.

This is a copy and paste from another forum.

Ok, so I rebuilt my sr20 a few months ago after buying it as a rod knocked block in pieces. I put the break in miles on the car, and everything was fine. For the next 2 months the car ran and drove fine, didn't give me one fucking problem.

But then, a few weeks ago I started having an over heating issue. If I drive the car normal, its fine but if I drive it hard it pushes the coolant out of the radiator.

So I figured I popped the headgasket, so i did tests to see if that was true.

I did a block test, to test for cracked head, block, blown headgasket but it came up as none.
I did a radiator pressure test, it held pressure fine slowly bleeding off as it should
I did a radiator cap pressure test, held 19psi/1.3 bar like the car is rated for.

I pulled the motor out of the car to replace some stuff, and while it was out I found a leaking coolant feed line for the turbo. So I replaced the line with a SS braided line, with a teflon braided whip hose. No more leaking from the hose, so I figured hey that fixed my issue.

Well I drove the car all day, when it was kind of chilly out. Car didn't give me one issue, but we waiting till later in the day and I started to test it by driving hard. Same fucking result, water gushing out of my over flow.
