Ive had that same looking pile in my shed for forever haha.

 

Something in the ignition system is being weird, because the car dosnt want to start now, and when it does it idles steady but it breaks up really at times.It seems a bit intermintent, because it will run just fine for a few minutes then it starts to hesitate and its stalled a few times. I've checked all the grounds that I know of and they're all solid.

When the car doesnt want to start it just spins, I can tell the ignition isnt firing at all, then it will finally kick in after a few tries.

Problem seems to get worse as the car warms up. I was thinking maybe ignitor chip but I always figured those either worked or didnt.

Fuel/Air are normal.

Also did a compression test yesterday and the all of them are with-in 5psi of each other. 155, 155, 150, 155. (cylinder 3 is the one that melted the piston last time)

Spark plugs look like they are burning completely normal too.

 

open your ecu and see if any thing is melted.. i had exactly the same symtoms and checked EVERYTHING, one of the resistors was fried. sometimes it would idle and sometimes just crank over. worth a look anyway.

 

I'll take a look tomorrow morning.

The hesitation issues have gotten progressively worse since thursday to the point where it doesnt want to start now. I've checked all the grounds too and they're all tight with no broken wires as far as I can see.

Washed my S14 in my garage, and started fixing the dash per Zilvia writeup. Got the holes filled in, just need to sand them down and then repaint it.
