I got the SPL eccentric lock out things too so no more camber bolts to mess with so hopefully it might make doing a string alignment easier since I dont have to worry about the camber bolts screwing stuff up. I think the new set up will be a bit more nimble in tighter corners and about the same everywhere else.
Dan what are you running in way of toe on the front of your car? If you run about 1/8-1/4 inch of toe OUT your car should hunt less and give you excellent acriman that should make the car really sharp in the corners.

Toe out on the street sounds like a bad idea. Darty under braking comes to mind. For autox and track it would be great, though.

i dont think it would be very darty if his brakes dont pull. and where its only minorly toed out it shouldn't be bad. if it was set up like a tube chassis car with 1/2 or more dependant on track it could be really darty with uneven pavement and other variables that are on the street.

I run 0 toe in the front, mostly to save my tires, I also run almost 8* of caster. I'm going to dial out some of the caster and camber and leave the toe at 0. I can deal with hunting, its only ever done it on one road and I'd rather not wear my tires down any faster than they do already. The only time I would set toe to something else is if I was setting the car up specifically for the track on DOT-R comps or something. The car handled awesome before and it still will, I'm just going with a less agressive set up.

YouTube - BMW M3 in action on tarmac - with pure engine sounds

This is what I want my car to handle like. Pure mechanical grip, foot to the floor, steering with the rear wheels around the tight corners and very very balanced. I love they way they can toss those things around. Watching that video reminds me of how I was driving at the full-auto event, didnt look nearly as cool as whats in the video though.

The more I drive the white car the more I wonder why I never bought the SPL tie rod set up sooner. It seems the red car suffered from bumpsteer pretty badly. The new steering set up is miles ahead of the stock moog set up I'd been running for so long. Really wish I had them back in june at the full auto event, would of helped a ton.

I also realized that my front tires are switched around so the tread is backwards. Its perfectly fine to do it in the dry with out ill effects but when its wet out its a total nightmare. I was wondering why driving in the rain was so scary, the front tires kept wanting to hydroplane on the tinest patch of water.

Yeah, and I have the extra set of spacers for them, too. I'll bring them tonight if you show up. I also have more stuff for you.

I was just thinking about your wiring issues. You're using my old lower harness, so the speedo wiring issue must be in the main harness. Same with AC.

I haven't actually wired in the speedo, there was no clip on it so I have to make one for it, so as long as the speed sensor works I dont see why it wont work. The water temp gauge and A/C are still a mystery, I figured it has something to do with the main engine harness that goes to the dash plug becasue it wont even kick the idle up, and both of the water temp sensors are brand new and I know from your consult that the ECU is reading the temp correctly from the bigger one.

I'll drop by qsl tonight for a bit.
