Usually when you've got one leaking, there are more. It's usually the install process that's the problem, not the orings. I use axle grease, which works well. Besides oil, I've also heard Vaseline works. WD-40, not so much.

I've thought about that too today, I've yet to hear the clutch fan actually kick on high. It does work at the low speed but nothing above that.

I do think there is a dead spot in cool air-flow when I'm driving though thanks to how things are set up. I dont think the middle of the radiator is getting any cool air. Ducting will help somewhat. It doesnt over heat when its idling. I had the car running at idle for about 30 minutes last night with no issues. It runs good for about the first 10 minutes then after that it starts to load up on fuel which is why I think it might be a possible cooling issue. I'll drive it around tomorrow during lunch and take temp readings and see if it actually is over heating.

Just hard to think that if the intercooler stays cold to the touch that the engine would still over heat. It just seemed way to hot today when I popped the hood to check the oil (which is fine). Maybe its just in my head and I'm not used to the extra heat from the turbo. Just didnt think the injector leaking would be intermittent like it is.

realllllllly?

get some gauges. learn whats actually going on with your engine, rather than guessing from what it feels like when you open the hood.

when you come back with some numbers, AFRs, temperatures, we can help you.

and FYI, intercooler temp is almost completely related to engine temp.

otherwise, an non-intercooler engine would continuously overheat

good gah.
