Datsun Dreaming
Finally finished the carpet replacement. Now I just need to get a gray headliner and I'll be rid of that disgusting tan. I never knew my old carpet was so nasty and stained until I pulled it out and looked at it in the sun. Anyway, I just noticed that I'm out of car wash soap.
I need to get more.
Random thought.
I was spacing out while rinsing out a paint roller for the 8000th time this week, and my mind wandered towards the Prius sudden accel hoax(es) and everyone jumping on the hate Toyota bandwagon. Then I remember not 6 short years ago, Nascar driver Jimmy Specer said this about Toyota starting to compete in the Truck Series: "Those sons of bitches bombed Pearl Harbor, don't forget". Maybe that explains the Toyota hate; maybe there's a little Jimmy Spencer in all of us. <cue: America, Fuck Yeah!>

Not only that, but you have to remember that the U.S. government has an investment in GM and Chrysler, so it's obvious that the government is biased.
Thats because only the Toyota america dealt with the outsourced american company to make the pedal assemblies. The cars that run the Denso units dont have any problems. Said "american" pedal company also supplies GM with their E-Throttles.

Everyone is over-looking all of the other recalls. Didn't ford have an electrical problem with the CC that made a whole lot of units catch on fire? The 4cyl Fieros of the 80s also spontaneously caught fire. GM just had a recall because the belts for the power steering where snapping. And I think Ford just had another recall for a dangerous issue, but I don't remember what it was for. But noooo, as soon as a major foreign brand has a recall for a sticky pedal that's only really happened a few times, it suddenly becomes a big deal. And you can just put it in neutral and the car will slow down. The brakes still work. You could even turn it off. But you can't stop an electrical fire that easily unless you have an extinguisher.
ive got a 87 pontiac fiero 4 cyl. it hasnt caught fire yet.. lol
