That would be sweet. I thought you had to swap pulleys to use a KA alternator though. I'll do some research tomorrow at work.

 

afaik you just drill out the threaded hole.

 

Quick google search is saying I have to swap pulleys. I think one is 2 rib and the other 3 or something like that.

I did that about 6 months ago on my SR. Just take your old alternator with you. Buy a KA alternator then get them to swap the pulleys for you, it takes them like 30 seconds. I bought the cheapest brand at autozone and the pulley shaft/mounting had a different shimming so the pulley was rubbing/binding on the housing. I ended up buying the second cheapest brand and everything worked fine.

 

I got a 110 Nissan Quest alternator from your brother that I was going to try and use. 4Wdrift sean said he has a spare pulley so that makes life easier.
