Datsun Dreaming
Sentra mat. lol only the driver side has a sentra mat, but I plan on getting grey carpet, so I'm not gonna buy a new set yet.

shitty buzz
I've seen some articles on freshalloy and they linked an SAE documentation... I can see it being beneficial in noise suppression (i.e. a luxury car application), but I'm still unconvinced about chassis stiffening. Why isn't my E46 M3 stuffed with the shit? BMW put all sorts of other chassis stiffening crap all over it... it has braces all down the transmission tunnel, across the rear diff, strut tower braces, etc. But I don't think it has chassis foam (I've never cut my frame rails open, but I'm pretty sure they're hollow)...
I just have a hard time believing reviews of all the chassis stiffening products I've read about on the internet. People "claim" that all sorts of things make HUGE differences in chassis performance because they're looking for justification for spending the money on shit like strut tower braces and fender braces and all the other crap they sell for cars.
I'm pretty sure that if you didn't tell people what was changed that they couldn't tell the difference between a car with strut tower bars and one without. Same goes for the majority of the little braces and shit they make.
What you're saying is if you took two identically equipped 240sx's. Both with the same suspension mods, the ONLY difference being the chassis foam. And you had someone drive them back to back, the driver would be able to tell easily which one was foamed? If so, that's a pretty remarkable claim!

Parallel Compressive Strength: 250 psi
Tensile Strength: 225 psi
Shear Strength: 130 psi
Flexural Strength: 350 psi
Also just from foaming my rear subframe the rear car rotates a hell of a lot faster. It feels very similar to when I just installed poly bushings with lots of grease in them. I can feel the suspension moving more than the chassis flexing. Its a huge improvement. And the fact that there is no suspension creak from the rear of the car is an added bonus. Its a really nice compliment to the softer spring rates I'm running.

Went to orlando, picked up a SR bellhousing and some rb20/25 s13 a/c lines.
Had some guy named Mike with a bunch of piercings show up and tell my little brother(9 yrs old) that he was there for a car, and he would come back later this week. I dont know anyone named Mike, or anyone with a bunch of piercings.. I locked my car for the first time in months =S

I can play the "i think" game too. So you don't "believe" that bracing does anything to chassis strength, but I'll bet you'd say that a gussetted 10-pt cage would. Where in your mind do you draw the line? Can you even tell me where the load forces are? If chassis stiffness does nothing, why does your M3 have gussets down the trans tunnel and all sorts of other BS? Why aren't cars made from hotdogs and damp spaghetti? Why do convertibles handle like ass compared to the same fixed roof cars?
Take a look at the parallel compressive strength. If I have my terminology correct, that means I can press down with 250 pounds of force on 1 square inch of this foam before it crumbles. That means I can easily suspend your M3 on a blob of this foam that's 4"x4", roughly the size of your hand. So you want to tell me again that this stuff has no mechanical properties?
It's pretty nice outside lately. You coming to QSL any time soon?
