What do you need a bushing press for?

Press out the four subframe bushings. It's the handheld one that you use for ball joints. Erm, I meant ball joint press.

So it's a subframe repair product? If the stuff is as amazing as you claim, why didn't it just COME filled from the factory the first time? This incredible amazing magical foam has been around since the Q45, surely BMW engineers have heard of it before they designed the E46?

And while we're on the topic, why aren't Ferrari's filled with it? Lamborghini's? Porsche's? Nope. If there was a simple foam that increased rigidity as much as you claim and only added 8 lbs to the overall vehicle, don't you think performance car chassis designers would be all over it!

But instead, let's look at what does come with this miracle foam installed? Infiniti Q45's! The pinnacle of automotive chassis design excellence? Uhh, no. The sloppiest, loosest chassis designed to pamper it's riders with a luxurious, quiet ride. IMO this foam is best used as a noise suppression. Hence it's application in a luxury sedan!

You can argue all you want. If the stuff was as good as you make it out to be, it would be much more widespread in it's application.

Just burn them out, you're going to have to cut out the metal sleeves out anyways. I've done it a few times and fire is the quickest and easiest way to remove those bushings. I have a ball joint press and I dont think it'd work for the subframe.

Just because you don't have any clue which cars use urethane foam, doesn't mean there aren't any. Pleading ignorance isn't exactly effective in a debate!

You're still dodging the question. What cars other than Infiniti's Q45 come with it from the factory? Not as a glue to hold it together when it's broken (BMW's application of the stuff)...

On the foam topic:

Ignoring empirical facts is fun.

You should also ask yourself why all cars don't have a flower holder since Volkswagon puts them in the bug. I mean geez, they don't cost that much. Arguing on pure speculation why an automotive manufacturer didn't do something is pointless.
