Submitted an order for some Nissan parts to get my brother's car fixed up. It's leaking basically every fluid but oil.

Also, ordered the restrictor/orifice/pill to convert back to a bleed type boost controller solenoid. Went with the greddy style solenoid setup and reconsidered. The bleed type is more idiot-proof. Basically, with the bleed at 0% it's wastegate and at 100% it's somewhere around 18-20psi with the pill I got. With the interuption style solenoid it's wastegate at 0% and infinity at 100%. This is all with the factory S14SR ECU.

 

I'm just going to buy an AVC-R and let that do all the work. Luckily they've come way down in price.

If your brother is interested I posted a link in the FS section of a S15 HLSD with output shafts and Nismo ring bolts for 450$ shipped.

 

S14 VLSD, stock gear, 6-bolt, ABS housing. Probably starting at $100.

i like my avcr, i couldnt tell you how to use it at all, but it has a sweet display.

 

Haha, it does looks neat and should be worth the money spent.

 

I was always turned off by the blue and silver look. Now they make black, which is good.

It's also one of the cheapest boost controllers that allows boost by gear, and % vs RPM. Doesn't do true closed-loop controll, which is what I loved about my Gizzmo MS-iBC. Still haven't found the perfect boost controller yet...

Reply to thread - drove the new car at Charlotte on Sunday, Cams made it really un-responsive below 4k but effortless 3rd gear on bank..

Did Tandem with F20 AE86 was very fun.

All in all, awesome weekend.
