well i have never built a motor and i have no idea whats salvagable yet. so anyone thats down to come help awesome. i appreciate it guys.

tommy i doubt ill be doing oversized. ill use whats not broken, and finally find out if this motor is actually really built or if that was more bull shit tim told me when i bought it.

idk what im doing as of now though besides finding a daily asap! so if anyone has a reliable 5speed s13 around for about 1500 lmk. if not im buying a little s10 truck

I have the S13 in my sig I could sell for like $1350 obo. It's getting spray painted right now(not the best, but good for someone that just needs a cheap DD). I have the front bumper, it's just off being painted seperately. It has a freshly rebuilt single cam, 5 spd, pretty clean interior. No rust on the hatch. 2 cracks in the dash. Let me know if you're interested. I can get you more pics and info.

 

If you didnt drive on it much right after, then it probably didnt hurt the rods, a trip to LKQ for a sentra, g20, crank, and a set of new acl bearings ($120 shipped on ebay), and you should be in ok shape.

Did you ever hookup that oil press gauge you got from me ?

 

Yeah, you'll need a crank and bearings minimum. Have the rods checked for straightness and the big ends resized. If you get spendy, rering the pistons and ballhone the bores. I skipped a few steps but that's about it.

The upside is that your oil pan is full of new pennies. You'll need those to buy the rebuild parts.

 

yea well ill find out if the motor is even actually built like tim said, becuase alot of other stuff turned out to not be as he said they were.

if it is in fact built then, ill re ring and use what i can. i have enough in savings to do this the right way so it will be done the right way. just the time crunch. now that im done with class, i need to have this back on the road mid january hopefully.

im going to look at a 98 s10 tommorow to finally maybe have a beater DD and or down time driver.

only time will tell once i get the motor apart
