So it wasnt my clutch fan that was the problem. Apparently I have a small coolent leak somewhere and my water level was low.

Add water. Problem solved.

ummm gonna paint my SE lip then put it on, then probably wash it and drive around aimlessly for awhile. lol

Sounds like the selector is stuck behind the, er, dealie. Take the tailshaft housing off and check the shift rods. You can probably fix it by only removing the input shaft plate, but you gotta know what you're doing.

Take the tailshaft housing off by unbolting the center bolts, then tap out the pin that holds the shifter cup/linkage in place.
