I guess, I have a 92' 20ft center con Cobia that I've had in the family since I was 6 (21 now.) Its needed stuff, but its the original 115 yamaha which has never gone wrong. It has needed some wiring and we replaced the entire floor and stringers a few years ago but thats because it was at the end of its lifespan either way and it was used as a dive boat alot so the floors where always overloaded with gear. But we do everything ourselves so it was cheap it just took a few months to do. But now it has composit stringers and a new floor so it should last 30+ years.

We also have a 18 Polar salt flats boat and the only people we have with that is we keep blowing motors on it. But one was an older 115 merc and the other was a 90hp yamaha with direct injection oiling which is a stupid system. But luckily 2stroke. motors are alot cheaper now thanks to everyone going 4stroke

They are alot of work, but like I said they aren't to expensive if you take care of them and can do it all yourself.

Haha, it's just like anything else. If you have the time and the ability to work on it yourself, many things become affordable. Boats are a ton of fun. There's no question. I've actually been looking at getting another small center console/flats boat myself since I have a dock and bay access off the back of my house now

Uh, they use a Tremec T-56, just like the corvette, camaro, firebird, viper, mustang............

Them being originally RHD might be the reason for the different starter, or chassis / exhaust layout.

if i were you ken, I would get the boat, you could use that $120+-(gettin that from the trips you and your gf go on) on the fuel, drink, food, bait etc, instead of going on their schedule and be back when they say. You can go out when you want, where you want, be back what time you need to be, and plus you can take your friends out, and just have them chip in for gas, bait, etc. I know you always wanted a boat to.

Yeah man, like I said the car will stay up for sale for about a week. If it sells then there will be a boat being pulled to the docks about every morning. And of course you guys would throw money in for gas and bait haha.
