Plus, I don't need map lights as I have no maps to read that don't glow themselves.

Yes, keyless entry, remote start, turbo timer, remote trunk release, timed starting, alll stupid stupid stupid !

You take your garage with you to the walmart parking lot ? How about going to the mall, bring it along then ?

Dont set your "easily ignored security system" to extremely sensitive levels on the impact sensors, and it wont go off unnecessarily.

Oh yeah, I dont give 2 shits if the neighbors ignore the system, when the remote pager goes off, they arent exactly needed to come check on things.

Dont worry about me and thirdgens, focus on not being completely dumbfounded and defeated for weeks by a set of spark plugs.

I actually probably still own my car because of my alarm. The ONLY time it has ever went off I was warned on my pager and ran out to see a group of people sprinting down the street.

Yes, professionals can get past it but that doesn't mean a line of defense shouldn't be taken.

I don't take my car to places where I suspect, regardless of an alarm, it's going to get ripped off. Thankfully, my car looks like shit anyway and most people would pass it up in favor of a Honda with "Boriqua" stickers and adhesive backed portals on it.

People did manage to get by before alarms were invented for automobiles. A good kill switch and a detachable faceplate keeps most of the hoodrats away...you can bet your t-tops on that.

Sure people can get by a cookie cutter alarm install no problem, however if properly installed, good luck, i'll sit down with a glass of iced tea, and a book to read and wait for them to give up if you mean actually taking the car.

As far as getting in to steal things, again good luck, the pager will be going off, and at that point they wont be wanting to hang around.
