Haha, yeah I suppose free isnt a half bad reason for installing one, though i'd prefer to sell to some retard, then use the $ towards said alarm

My 2-way Viper alarm costed me $100 installed and that includes turbo timer, remote start, keyless entry which my poor S14 didn't have so yea I totally agree with your argument.

791xv is nice, installed one in a friends camaro, however i'll be going with a compustar like I installed in my buddys F450 tow truck, their manual compatible remote start "reservation mode" is pretty cool
The range is pretty damned good too.

i like my GReddy turbo timer, compliments my profecB2 quite nicely, and has other features a car alarm doesn't have...

.......... or the GReddy Full Auto Timer can use it’s two auto timer modes (A-L, A-H). The modes estimate the driving RPM according to the vehicle's alternator signal and then recommend a count down time. A stopwatch/lap time and attack modes along with a built in voltmeter and speedometer are also standard features. Safety options for the parking brake and speedo hook-ups can be used to disengage operation if vehicle is attempted to be moved without the key.

That really doesnt compare to a compustar pro, but OK.

Turbo timer isnt rocket science, 4 minutes, call it a day, i'd much rather be able to program auto start intervals, view the in car temperature from the 2 way remote, put windows up/down with the remote, have the vehicle start itself and run for a little while if the temperature drops too low, etc.

Yea, mine can't do that stuff and I don't really care for it.

Ive only used the remote start a couple times, and turbo timer and handful. I really was just interested in keyless entry.
