Any of the options listed in those threads will work (radiator paint). One problem with paint, though, is that it chips from rocks and road debris very easily and will look like ass over time.

One other option is a Thermal Displacement Coating (TDC). This is a powder coat that actually improves heat transfer, and is much more durable than paint. I'm not positive if any of the local powdercoating shops actually do TDC coating, but it might be worth looking into if you want to do it right the first time.

importluv thanks for the links. if i'm not spraying my ic black, i'm just gonna do a v-mount. i always wanted to do that. i'm thinking doing myself. i have a buddy that can weld. it shouldn't be that hard.
is it true that having a v-mount you have to have a vented hood right? if so, what about in the raining day it gets in the ic?

no it wont get in the IC it's a air tight unit also the right way to color a IC is to anodize(sp?) it, paint is a coating and wont make a huge diffrence on a daily driver but it hold's more heat in then venting off, anodizing is a metal tinting and displace's heat, there are a few place's around the tampabay area that do it and most of them are a $75 min. charge

$4.99 for a can of flat black spray paint.....

made 500whp on pump, didnt make any differance in the logs, on the dyno, or the track.

i would do touch ups about every 3 weeks.... this whole thing about the paint holdingin heat is just funny. it really isnt going to make a noticeable differance...

SCC did a this to a project car or 2 several years ago. Post-IC airtemps were unaffected by cheap flat black paint.

I wouldn't bother. Too much trouble, unless you're entering car shows to win trophies.
But I'm not here to stop you.

Anodized black would be your BEST option, but unless your pushing the dge with cooling as it is, the little bit of black paint shouldn't be a big deal either. You will have to touch up the paint though....

There is someone selling a V mount intercooler on here to.
