What you should consider using is a special radiator paint that they sell at parts stores.

hi temp engine paint would be perhaps the worst thing to cover it in short of an actual ceramic coating...it traps heat in the same way it reflects it...thermal insulation is not what you want...they do have thermal radiating heat though...
as recommended about use radiator paint

um...chemicals?...call the manufacturer and ask them what they suggest?

my guesses would be acetone, mineral spirits, paint thinner...I'm really not sure.

what about any of chemicals/water/liquid that are left inside of the intercooler?? do i just let the core sit out in the sun to dry that way those chemicals dont get sucked up into the motor?

yeah, I would do that...most of the chemicals I mentioned have also been used in the past as octane boosters in one ghetto way or another lol
I wouldn't recommend them though
