you think i don't hand file my ring gaps ?

LOL. npr ring sets are mandatory file to fit.

Oh i dont' believe in coating piston skirts. maybe have them wpc treated, but no need to coat them.

No idea what you do or what "npr" rings require. All I am saying is that if .006" + gap difference is acceptable to you then run with it. I don't accept that, not even on a little old N/A 302.

well i dont run it if it varies more than .0000000000000000000000001... i got that atomic spec mitituyo mic the other week... bitch measures atomic diameter... so there.

.028 / .030 = no blow motor... ever !!!!!!!1 say it.. !!!!!!!!1

What pistons did you go with? The bigger #2 CP rings I just did for mine came gapped .021. Matt what is your new power goal now that you are built?

I did CP 86mm with the NPR ring pack, 11cc dish.

the new power goal will have a GT3071 on it, we're hoping for 350 at the wheels.

i really ought to put a build thread on this site, lots of valuable information, but i'll keep it on florida fail for now.
