Forum name change
In the past 2 years this forum has become nearly useless to anyone that owns a Nissan that is not a 240sx. I suggest that we make a subforum for 240's or have a subforum in the drifting forum for this (since this is what about 90% of people with these cars are interested in nowadays anyway
). All the 17 and 18 year old fags that just keep jumping on bandwagons like lemmings jumping off of cliffs. Most of these retards have postcounts higher then people that have been here for several years... and if you look in their post history it's all crap like " Omg what bodykit/wing is this ... S13 bodykits ... KA vs SR , S13 or S14, sad day for s13, sad day for ka". As their post counts go up, their braincell count drops along with the rest of the forum community, they scare/scared away most of the people that contribute/used to contribute to this forum to the point where it's nothing but people posting pictures of various S chassis cars and pointless debates that have been discussed over 4 years ago with conclusion! Sure the 240sx is a cool car, but a select crowd have turned them into a major turn off. Most of these people have been here less then two years and have over 3000 post counts 90% of them completely useless opinionated crap (as for this post all you have to do is look at all the ones below it to see my justification , and that what i'am stating is more then just a opinion). Some people here have other interests then just s-chassis cars. Whenever someone posts something Z related you got a bunch of dumbass kids jumping in your thread talking about how heavy the Z is, or how the S15 is so much better then a skyline because it's lighter and has a sexier front end (who gives a shit), regardless of how much better Z's or skylines may be ... just because they don't have that "mad tyte dorifto potential".

Oh, and enough with the freaking fender rolling threads for the love of god! Every dousche bag out their with a round object and S13 is now rolling their own fenders and most of them look like ass, it's getting so bad that when you go out to any meets now you have to watch where you walk so as you don't slip and end up cutting yourself on some assholes fender!

There is also threads like these every so often from disgruntled members who have seen the slippery slope the forum is on.
But...
While there is truth to your ramblings, this forum would be dead if it were split and/or more closely monitored and censored. It's an ebb and flow, sometimes there is some periods of crap and there are times of technical flow. Sadly, the ebb and flow in here is like watching a beach [of knowledge] get slowly eroded away. But it is the nature of the owners of the cars, they have to put in their thoughts and knowledge.
The thing is, the 240 is the new civic, and the import version of the ford mustang. its cheap, and easy fast. So, therefore it's going to be owned by a younger crowd that for the majority, lives paycheck to paycheck buying parts and spends their money on car parts that might not necessarily do anything. This also entices them to do DIY things, which are often ghetto (I'm guilty here).
The 240sx community as a whole thrived as a base of knowledge between 1999-2003. While there are still breakthroughs and innovations, and people are making more power and doing more badass things, the pool of FAQ style conversation has been done in one form or another. So there is an inevitable stagnance involved, because obviously the majority of us aren't engineers with loads of cash to fab up rom tunes, head packages, and put together motors that make max power at little psi. we're not supra owners, we can't all have 12 second cars with 800hp. we're not suby/evo owners, who can all have badass looking cars that run 14s. we're 240 owners and its exactly like ford mustang owners. there is a percentage that have badass cars, there are some who have primered rust buckets with welded diffs. some have power, some have noise. some are douchebag drivers, some are not. every motorswap known to man has been done now, and power outputs are just raising the bar monthly.
to me, if you don't want to see the junk that is posted, don't read it. its not going to stop, but as the cars get older and newer platforms get older and become more accessible to younger crowds (just think, in 5-10 years, there will be wrx's, evos, 350z's, g35's, and stuff all over the roads with teens driving them - esp judging at how many are sold and out on the streets as is), the 240 will fade into true "old/classic" territory, and will slowly fade out of the limelight into more of an era where the true enthusiasts keep the cars, and quality things like restorations and true hod rod buildups take place (not that they dont now, but not in my budget yet).
ps - i myself have been contemplating new car for months now. its just hard to decide. im on the fence about a new Z. start modding yours and give us some techy shit to drool over.

the way i see it is your getting upset about things people cant help, its not my fualt i was born 5-10 years after alot of the members on here who know the history of every nissan ever built. i try to stay away from posting stupid shit, and i know i have in the past, but its a learning experiance, if i dont ask or post i wont learn

dan pretty much put it better than i can say, but he is stating it from a different point of view, i am one of those younger car enthusiest who the older guys keep complaining about i guess just becuase of the car i chose to buy on my budget. i bought the 240 becuase in my price range it was that or a FC or a older BMW, and the 240 was the best for what i was looking for (RWD). not my fualt K MArt sucks and pays me shits and giggles lol. but i also agree, alot of post on here could go without posting, and i will try and keep my self from further posting trash lol

Elude i must agree, before when i had a car trouble it was talked about and we finally came to the answer.Most of the question on here are already archived on Nico and ziptied an other various forumswhere im spending more of my time at.It would seem the older corwd needs to park there 240's and move onto a new toy.more arguements than pics
