pick up a jgs log manifold. $300. or pick up a megan racing manifold and puton a gt series turbo on. it;s obvious from your description that you are not beuilding a full out race car. so piece together a small kit or something.

at the moment(during football condo, 3 AP classes, and other misc. stuff) im working enough to get like $88 paychecks(every2weeks) and this is only enough for my gas lol. the gt series are kind of pricy if im not mistaken... i would love to but i think ima have to put off until i find a better job, or start selling drugs lol, jk.

jonas. i think i've asked this question before but i dont remember what the answer is lol. does jgs even make a manifold for the sr?
and valrico240. those manifolds may be cheap, but if you can find some one to weld a few reinforcements on, they lest for quite a while. plus theyre so cheap that you could buy three or four and just get to the amount that you would spend on a higher priced mani, and they would have all together lasted long also.
the down side to that manifols it, is that they dont have a downpipe to go with it, you have to go custom.

as bad as it sounds, youll have to find diff. job or just hold off. you seem young so u have plenty of time to spare on cars lol.
for the power, you'd definitely be best off just going gt2871r. throw that in with some taka turbo lines and use stock elbow, manifold, etc for a bit. get 550 injectors and a z32 mafs, and a rom tune, then come back later and get a bottom mount manifold and the o2 housing (if u dont have that). otherwise, youll have to just save and wait.

yea thats what i have come to terms with. i just had a decent size of spare $ not alot but decent, and wanted to start on a new set up. but unless Kmart comes out and sponsors me, i agree i will be waiting until i can afford it. once again guys, thanks for the 2 cents and not completly roasting me for what i was told a dumb question...

Back on topic.......You can do a top mount setup for fairly cheap. As people have said, you can run a log mount setup. You can get the turbo fab top mount kit for around $400 and then all you have to buy is the turbo, wastegate, and lines. You will have to fab up some IC pipes but that's pretty easy, 90 degree bend and 45 degree bent pipe will get you where your intercooler attaches.
I never said I was using a sidemount, I build either h-mounts or use front mounts.
