the transmissions isn't bad. you adjusted something that wasn't supposed to be adjusted when u swapped gearboxes. i am not one for technicalities on the names of the parts. all i know is that it was explained to me and shown to me once but i can't recall the specifics.

there are certain teeth that move back and forth in the gear box. even the slightest trauma to it can adjust it. it needs to be in a certain position when in neutral. your tranny is most likely fine. anyone that knows more about transmission can probably translate what i just said. i am sorry i am not much help. if i had a pic of a gear box i could circle and show u.

try this, while the car is off try putting into gear if it goes into gear while off its probably not the syncros,it might be something hydraulic, first check if theres fluid in the resovoir,if so try bleeding the slave cylinders(and take off the dampner if its still there) to take off the dampner discount the hard line that runs from the master to the front off the dampner, then discount the hard line that runs to the rubber line on the slave, carefully bend the hardline from the master to meet the rubber line,it will give you a much better feels.if bleeding the slave dosnt, replace the slave, also did you replace the throwout bearing in the tranny,if not do so.

oh shit i just thought about something else,Did you replace the whole tranny or did you just swap a ka tranny on the sr bellhousing,if you swapped bellousing's did you make sure the tranny was not in gear when you put the bellhousing back on,if it was in gear when you put the bellhousing on that might be your problem
