i could think of quite a few actually with the power levels some have hit but:
1. most don't hit 1/4 tracks.
2. some of these cars rarely get driven (or sold after "completion")
3. not setup properly to make use of their 'look at me' power.
4. shitty drivers.

sidenote: BradentonMP rollbar requirement is 11.49 and under. other tracks are sanctioned differently (NRHA or IDRC or IHRA, i forget which are which), and require cages for 11.99 and under.

If I had a weekend car that saw road course time or consistently ran under 11.5, I'd have a cage. I don't see daily drivers needing cages that much. I have lost interest in the need for a daily car to have stupid power and/or to be overkill in any aspect (guess I'm getting old). And I hate having to explain to non-car people why I have to wear a 4 point harness 24/7 (though you can pad the fuck out of your bars and use 3 point).

i think whats worse is not putting padding over the bars like most ive seen. if its a daily driver you arnt gonna wear a helmet ont the way to publix. so if you ever get into an accident chances are your gonna hit you head on the cage. i like to think of having roll cage is like a friend with a steel baseball bat hitting you in the head with it its just a thought
