Roll cage owners.
cages can really help stiffen the chassis up on a 240 or anycar, there not just so you can run faster times at the track legally without getting kicked out. jack up a car towards the rear of the car without a cage and then jack one up with a cage and you will see a difference if you understand what i am talking about, the one with the cage will come up in the front unlike the one without the cage. oh it sounds like rambleing but i couldnt really think of another example
hell I think any car trapping triple digits in the 1/4 could benefit from one. Shit is scary at the speed.

I put mine in for the first reason being safety. In order to put harnesses in, you SHOULD HAVE a cage. So with the added protection of the harnesses, i have the cage. I also wanted to stiffen up the chasis because when you think what I think, you don't know what the hell you are going to be doing with the car. I also plan on needing it at the strip later on

So let me see, this doesnt apply to everyone just the "I think im cool cause I have a cage kids."DDing a car with a cage with no helmet, and probably a lot of the time no seat belt.Sounds like a fun ride to me in the case of an accident.I have bounced my head of alot of shit and I must say steel piping is not one I would want to bounce it off again!
What are everyone's thoughts on a rear 4-point with no helmet. Do you think that with all the piping behind you, your head would be safe?
And one comment on chassis stiffening via cage... To get the maximum stiffening, it HAS to be gusseted to the body. People with simple cages get their hands pinched between the cage and a-pillar. That's because the chassis is still moving. A 4-point will offer some rear twisting resistance, but gusseted to the B-pillars it would be like a rock. Read the Alex Chang article on NPM about his Cusco cage offering almost no additional chassis stiffening. The one exception to gusseting is that a 6-point with door bars will give good longitudinal stiffening. Tie it into the A-pillars for a great setup.
