that extra 6-7k makes me wait longer

Only year ranges i can find online are 93's, 1 95, and a 96 which is more expensive than most new cars today (limited edition)...

I was really liking the 95.

Like i said, i just want to have a mechanically sound car. Not looking for anything excessive or crazy here. Twin turbo 300 hp (just for the penis status) and T-tops are the sex for me.

I was also wondering what was wrong with the 95 but i guess i get it now.

If I were you I would go to a real Z site like ZCAR.COM | Datsun - 240Z 260Z 280Z 280ZX 300ZX 350Z - Nissan or TwinTurbo.NET - Our servers have more track time than yours to get your info. There are a few knowledgable people here but those sites are dedicated to Z's with loads of info. If I was looking for a new one there is no specific year that would scare me away because of changes, if it was well taken care of thats all that matters. Anything that was changed between years such as cams or injectors can be overcome with adaptors or such since they were only minor changes.

And anyone who says 96's are bad because of this or that can suck my ass. It has been dyno proven over and over that peak numbers are the same you only lose 15-20hp in midrange and you won't notice it. As for getting parts everything works on my car except cams. Its going to cost me $1300 to have Crower weld up my cams and grind them down to JWT r5 specs vs $1100 for real r5 cams, $200 is not going to break the bank.

In a nutshell do plenty of reading on those sites for yourself and make your own decision but beware
Zcar.com = loads of info with mostly friendly people
Twinturbo.net = loads of info but loads of cocky assholes too

************************************************** ******
More proof that TT.net is cocky, my link was just "Twinturbo.net"....it added the "our servers have more track time then yours" on its own

yeah I really don't like either of those forum formats but the tech sections are not like that, they're just links to the articals so it's fairly easy to find your info.

It shouldn't be to hard for you to find a good one, you sound like you're ready to pay for quality and you're not rushing to get something which is great. I hate seeing posts from people like "I want to find a mint TT....but oh yeah I only have $5,000, and I need it yesterday"

Good luck with your search bud I hope you find what you're looking for!

Thanks for your help and encouragement! I appreciate it.

Thanks to everyone else as well for the information you guys kindly provided, I will keep working hard to raise the money for p057's z32 fund and wait for the perfect TT to go up for sale.
