Grabbing a Z32
I don't think you have to worry about turning down a 96TT. They only made 400 of them, versus thousands in previous years.
Tire wear alway sucks on these cars, so check them. The oil lines like to die requiring engine removal. The clutch is only good for about 60k with spirited driving. Replacement requires engine removal. Make sure that they have the 60k timing belt replacement done. This service costs $700-1000 and requires disassembling the entire front of the car and/or engine removal. Starting to get the point?
Oh, neat mod I thought I'd mention... swap to an NA rear setup. Removes gay HICAS, weighs 50-75lbs less, and has 1000% better gearing for great street fun. Same brakes and geometry, too.

Clutch replacement doesn't require engine removal... And the improvements you get from the NA rear are okay, but not "really" worth the trouble/expense. Its better to just get some mods instead. All it really helps is off the line. Its not some mod thats going to take off a full second of your 1/4 mile times or anything. Again, it helps.. But all the crazy fast Z's I have ever seen/touched didn't bother with switching to the NA rear.

My only wants/desires are that its a TT, t-topped model with a clean interior and decently maintained engine.
I'm NOT going to be racing, drifting, or any of that crap most of the people come in here for. I do spirited driving, i like to go fast at times but thats at like 3am on I-75 with 0 traffic. Thats about it.
I want to be able to drive this car without having to get major repairs done because of a shitty year model and/or 'useless' modifications.
It'd pretty much just be a 2nd Daily driver, if not turned into my primary.

i saw a few for 10 g's. I think thats a reasonable price range.
You don't have to do that. I still got a few more months to go before i can seriously start looking, then a few months after that i'll make the jump.

Okay.. Whenever your ready let me know I know how to find you a good Z.
Because a Z33 is a chick car now
haha I'm kidding. I dont like the style. I see way too many on the roads. Its pretty much whored out, Why would i get something I don't want?
I've loved Z32's and Z31's as far back as i could remember. Getting a Z32 would just be completing one of my rather small dreams.
Hey Decoy, thanks a lot man, i appreciate all the help you've given and are willing to give. When i get closer to getting it, i'll let ya know, maybe you could teach me a tip or two, who knows. thanks man.

Glad to see your finally making the jump..
If you want, I am more then happy to come with you to check out the Z you're interested in buying. Just let me know..
And any year is good except the 95.. If I was you I would prefer a 90-92 since they will be cheaper. As long as they are cared for there is not much difference between the years.

The engine is the same. He would end up paying alot more for a few (imho) not necessary changes.
