the system probably does a system check at start up, this will include turning the comp on for a sec. i assume that it is seeing the comp as a problem and securing the rest of the system. just a guess, not sure if s13/s14 systems are that advanced or not. but anyways, the comp/dryer and maybe an expansion valve will be in order including a system flush, if the comp sent any shit into the system before dying.

it didn't have a chance to put anything through the system. all lines were added and the compressor. I didn't check to see if the clutch plate was working freely just put it on... the dryer is brand new. will look into an expansion valve.. after I get a working comressor I will again flush the system and start all over again...I have already went through two cans of R134A trying to get it into the sytem.all well....hopefully I will be getting the compressor soon,.
thanks
Chris
