Everytime I have gotten pulled over (only 3 times), the officer has said something about my "modified exhaust". They seem to not care that much about it, just gave a warning for the asshole cop that will do something about it. Just don't get smart with the cop.

I got a question for all, do these exhaust sytems have a CARB EO #? If so take that info to court end of case. I know some of the Greddy stuff does, the N1 is more likely "off road use only". Just my 2 cents, I am a SEMA member and thats the sort of thing they try and fight for is dumb vehicle modding laws.

it does not matter in florida if it has a carb sticker, it is ILLEGAL to have ANY exhaust modifications.

if you get a smart judge that actually knows the law none of what you say matter

 

aw shit. i'm getting the apexi n1 exhaust... they come with silencers though, right?... but i guess being in the military helps ward off a few tickets.
but, i've never really had problems before. i usually shift at 2500 or 3000 rpm (i have this "conserve gas" tick ever since my 3kgt)

 

I would like to remind you all that it was the looks of it that got me pulled over not the noise. They just see this shiny muffler and they feel like they have to pull you over.
I dont know if the apex N1 comes with the silencer. I sure didn`t get one.

my exhaust didnt come with a silencer but you can get them off of ebay for like 25 dollars. how quiet are these silencers supposed to be? i think i might have to invest in them.

my friend has a cobra with the exhaust pipes removed from the cat back. and when he gets pulled over for the noise he says that they came like that stock since there isnt the cut outs on the rear bumper. and sometimes they believe him too and he gets away ticket-free. haha cops are so stupid.

 

i used to have a catback on my eclipse, and the silencer made it sound stock, pretty much... i'll definetely have to powder coat (will hit temp paint work?) the muffler on my catback for the 180 when i get back home. hey slinkways, you live on sheldon? i live in twelve oaks. the church i go to is on sheldon and i'm good friends with josh & kevin at cruzin solutions, and frank at baywash (i wash my car for free there all the time!). i'm looking forward to seein all the local 240 guys when i get back
