I'm sure that it has been done, it just probably takes some extra wiring PITA.. thats all.

When i think about how much the SR with parts alone has costed me , a LS1 swap wouldn't have been such a bad idea.

1800 extra atop the cost of the motor i hope? lol otherwise i wanna know where you get stuff so cheap haha...

I would have to say blacktop Sr, better than redtop(because of head), more parts + easier than s14 blacktop. Pretty much the same thing that has been said about it already. reliable from what i hear after being beat on, but that goes for a lot of above motors. I love mine. I kinda miss my KA though, because it helps hone the driver on using techniques and making the most of the power. However, with a pretty much stock sr, the power jump is good, but not too menacing. It's nice to be abled to drift with some beefier tires with ease.

Well congrats, hope that is in good condition and runs well. Most engine sets that sell for that kind of money are missing lots of parts , and/or in bad condition. Most people spend around 3k to 4k in parts (including a clip/motorset) for a complete swap. I could have had a ls1 for half the money , and the rest to dump into mods. But it wouldn't have bolted in , and would have been more time consuming.

I say for 300-400 with good power band an SR + better weight distrabution for autoX and drift

if you want to go cheap cheap cheap then a KA of any sorts.

Drag racing I would have to go with the LS1 beefed up I would probaly do something stupid like put a blower on it and such

For overall best sound coming out from under the hood an RB25 would do the trick.
