Well i just bought a 91 240sx it has really low miles on the motor, but for some reason its not pulling like it should. ill give it full gas and it barely moves its stock just has intake with straight pipe with a werid muffler. i was told it may not be getting enough back pressure with the 2.5 straight pipe, but could that make that much of a difference. i love 240s and they normally are really fast i've driven other ones. does anyone know what the problem might be or be willing to look at it for me. i want it to run right someone please help me!!

 

change the oil...

other then that 240's are rather slow..
stock 16sec car..

 

I know there not the fastest cars ever but mine is not driving right i can tell its really really slow

 

change the oil...i did on mine and its running great...

 

Can you tell if its stock too? think about it man, maybe it needs a tune or something, i wouldnt worry about it, practice driving it!

 

how about a sliping clutch...that could be.....

 

could a oil change make that much of a difference if drives like it has no power

 

yea the other 240 i drove was stock to its my uncles. i always work on it and i love how quick it is pretty much stock. thats why i wanted one so bad, but mine doesnt drive right

 

change plugs ngk (do not get platinium) run 93oct put a bottle of seafoam from discount auto clean air fillter

p.s i'm running a 3inch catback ka's love it

 

change the cap, rotor, and wires also.
and make sure the distributor isnt cracked and retarding timing.
