is the check engine light on? it might be in limp mode? is it auto or stick? unplug your battery for about 5-15mins, and then try it.

its 5-speed and no the engine light isnt on

im going to say fuel pump. seen this same problem at least 3 times last month alone!

Do a tune-up first like the guys are in here suggesting. You feel quite a difference then. Just jumping on the bandwagon, TTFN .

Yup do a tune up. My 240 was a mid to low 15 sec car back when I had my dohc ka with just intake, test pipe, 3" exhaust, removed emissions, walbro 255, and timing advance. If I were to add a header I would have got more top end.

taylor i thought my fuel pump was doing the same thing becouse of the same reason i now have a walbro and still the same . would you by any chance be selling a e.c.t. sensor for dual overhead cam this is chris you helped me with my 2 way kaaz a while back

Nova, have you figured what the problem was? I've been having the same issues as of late. I can rev up, and when I let the clutch go, it slooowly ges going. The engine revs up, then down, and then back up again. My plugs were old, so I changed them, and that helped a little. I'm thinking of maybe the fuel pump as well... it's never been changed, as far as I know...
