Shits Broke, again!
ok, so i have owned this nissan 240sx for almost a year and a half. lets recap what has happened to it in that time period.
i bought the car in November of 2003. same day i blow the head gasket. not even 2 hours after buying it from a shady east european that never had the title signed in his name. instead he forges a name. but i got it all straightened out with the original owner.
fast forward to February. i finally get the car running again after countless money, time and effort went into it. drive it for 2 hours. cam gear comes off destroying the motor.
i get a newer 96 KA motor and tranny and do a 5spd swap by june/july. my rear brake lights melt down destroying my battery and all tail lights.
August rolls around and floods my car past the seats during hurrican frances. i have to replace all of the interior, newer ECU, newer wiring harness, newer starter, new brake rotors and pads, new wheel bearings, newer driveshaft bearing, new throw out bearing, used clutch and flywheel, just to name a few things.
fast forward to february 5, 4am. i get it running again since the hurricanes. later that day i particapate in a drift event. i put my car into the wall. est cost $250 to straighten everything and have things flush with no paint. not a big deal. still drives as strait as it did. but in the process of driving at the drift event i fry my 'newer' clutch.
now skip 2 weeks to Feb 19.
LAST NIGHT:
i just broke my damned 5gr/rev shift fork. yeah, wtf!!! i was in new tampa on BBD when it happened, and i live a few minutes from down town tampa. now i dont have 5th gear nor reverse. lets say it was a fun drive back in 4th gear on I75 and and I275 with out a working speedometer.
so here i am with a busted ass car thats making noises like a midget is stuck in my tranny with a hammer. what else can go wrong? [bangs head on computer desk]

cant now. way too much money tied into it. i have a couple of spare transmisions. just hope they are in good shape. plus i wont be able to sell it for shit. i happy that it can still take me from point a to point b and thats what i need right now.

Um, just a thought but i'll trade you my celi with the cold ac and all 5 forward gears, plus the reverse, for your troubles. The car will need new bearings in the lower end asap, so i'll give you 100 bucks to buy new ones for the install. I just had a new clutch, new axles, and new timing belt put in; so after the lower end is tackled you should be able to ride it 200K or more. It would be a lot more reliable a to b car than what you have now.
