The 20G is not that laggy. I have been in a buddy's car that makes full boost by 3,500 rpm's and thats with larger cams(slows spool). The car traps 123mph on pump gas 19spi, but your right, the 20G is worthless...

lol ^^ for a DSM, a 20g is a great turbo, for an SR, stick with Garrets, end of thread

New yes. however a slightly used turbo and a custom made log manifold can be had fairly cheap. Downpipe is an issue, but some intimate time with a tig welder fixes that up.

dsms are different from a sr20 in that they are a longer stroke engine. the intake manifold is different, lots of things are different in them. it's hard to compare the two motors.

SR's dont' run 26-28 psi the way dsm's like to. if they did they would make much more power on their turbo setups.

therea re people who make 340-350 whp off of big 28 turbos on SR's. how? 26-28 psi. I would imagine at 28psi a GT2871R on a stock manifold woul dmake some killer power too.
