bad thermostat?

Jeez, it's not rocket science man. Use a 10mm socket, 10mm wrench, vice grips, or your teeth if you have too.

ok put the new thermostat in...and i can feel flow thru all hoses but when i go to turn the heat on ...it wasnt really getting hot...but the needle wasnt moving which was good but there was like steam comin from the radiator , there coolant like all over the top of the radiator

well the coolant is foamy for some reason...but it runs fine...not overheating or anything in that nature..maybe my cap is bad too ..anyone got any ideas as too whats wrong?...going to flush it all out

SHITTY CAP! i had a shitty cap...cause of one of my overheatings-hg blow, over the good ol Howard Frankland. If you have a stock radiator, it might have that cheap plastic top cracked...that's happened to a lot of those radiators.
