yes, very true dave. alot of to4e guys go above 18 psi.

theres a big thread on a national nissan forum with some overlays comparing some common turboes, with some of the newer garrett GT series turboes. the 50 trim still rocks way up past 18psi, but we found that technically a GT30 would have a slight advantage with higher power goals. i dont plan on more than 450. ever. i will be happy with 350/350.

i think a z31 t3 would be one of the best bets for his setup though. better up top than the t28, not sacrificing too much lag/down low either. rebuilds are cheap, can get the turbo itself for <$200 usually. comes with the o2 housing usually so you can just drop in the o2 sensor and fab up a lower dp.

z31 t3 = teh suck. There are much better t3s out there that aren't a pain in the ass. A good friend of mine, PJ, made 291rwhp off a t28. SS Autochrome bottom mount and t28 is his method of fully useable powerband and lag-free power. He auto-crosses.

I'm also a believer that the T25 based series has surpassed the basic T3 style stuff easilly because of technology..

GT25R .64 and .8*
GT2871
Silvia S15 T28

All T25 sized stuf that does better than any T3 and a lot of T3/T4's.

numbers are good, but so is showcasing talent. and lets admit, you pop the hood on a nice car, and it has some nice trick setup with custom fuel rail, top mounted turbo, etc.. its gonna turn heads and drum up business. especially now that i have a new shop to pay for! hoa!
