Default Bryces car is finally running

well i would first like to say that his last 3 digits on his vin is 666 and it took 12 cranks till we figured the bugs and fixed them and on the 13th crank it started up with out hesitation. with out the exhaust it was camming like a built 350 or thats what several people said. only thing left to do now is getting new copper seals for the break lines, putting the body panels back on, and getting the bitch reregistered and insured. going to try and get the pics and possibly the video. the video is pretty much only good for the sound though, but it sounds like a beast.

im hoping it didnt blow, but he did call me saying a coupl cylinders had a bit of oil in it. i wonder if he about flooded it and didnt blow out the cylinders or something. we had an even 230psi compresson all across the board. i know it didnt over heat. might just get it milled for like $40 if the gasket did pop.

230psi across the board , something doesent sound right I really dont think it should be that high I was thinking about 130-150psi.

well good luck with the project.

thing that gets me is this is still the stock motor "not once cam pistons" (right) 230psi would mean roughly you have 15.1.1 compression ratio there is no way , maby the gauge broke or the motor was started up with on the other 3 cylinders when he was doing the test.

You are not using the correct method to determine compression ratio. You can't just take the psi and divide it by atmospheric pressure.
