hey i dont know if this is related or not but my car almost dies when i let it idle it drops to like 500 rpm and the whole car shakes but only if the a/c is off....... wierd? so im going to do the new spark plugs, wires, dist rotor, and cap and just hope that that fixes it. any body wanna gimme a hand? i was hoping to get a little more info but i didnt feel like starting a new thread

if your car shakes like mine is doing you prob need new motor mounts like i do.

 

My Subaru started doing this after it was in a flood - check to see if it's down a cylinder, make sure your intake pipe is bone-dry, check the idler screw, check everything that mayn have been bumped or pulled or gotten yet (vac lines and such).

Did you spray the motor with a hose?

yeah did spray it with a hose but it was on a light trickel. the car seems to be running fine now. basically i just need to hurry up and get my SR motor and drop it in. = )
