Default Wheel Troubles

hey i was going to change out my front brake pads when i realized that one of my bolts was really hard to get out. after about wrestling with the damn thing for about 10 mins i finally got the bolt off and looked at it. it is pretty damaged and so is the threading on the hub. what should i do? is there anyway that i can just replace one of the studs? can i just put the bolt back on and just ride on it?

thanks

yes, ride slow (obviously) to any auto parts store will carry studs and lugs just tell em what ya got. Definately something you need to take care of though. BTW, its probably damged because you wrestled with it, not saying that there was anything else you could do. Ive had to deal with this shit a million times.

yeah, just make sure the dust shield isnt in back of said stud, then whack with a mallot until it pops out in back of the rotor. Installation is reversed.

Wouldn't you want to just get a new hub, too?

i got a couple of friends comming over and helping me out with my brakes. ill take some pics but for now it should be ok to ride around on 3 bolts, fight? i really dont want to put the crappy bolt on the crappy stud. i figured it would be alot cheaper to just replace the stud.

pop out the stud first, then make sure that the grooves are still good that hold it in. if they are, you're good

hit it to knock it through the hub, straight back towards the car.
