Less of a good thing because?? More liters? More torque output? Makes power earlier in the RPM band? Block can be rebuilt with forged internals to support higher HP for less than what it cost to buy an SR.
don't think you're actually going to win this debate
The car that has more money into it will go faster, period.
engine bore runs about 250 from a reputable shop.
bearings specd out runs 250-260 from nissan.
new head bolts or arps are either 50 dollars or 120 dollars, your choice.
a new head gasket either oe or copper is going to be like 30 dollars or more, metal headgaskets are usually around 100, do they make one for the KA?
good pistons are about 450-460 a set including rings.
good rods are like 550 or so ? something like crowers.
$1600 and you still have to buy an entire turbo setup. hehehe. That gives you choices of running a JWT ecu or a stand alone, both of which aren't cheap either.
Hands down an SR is cheaper, but SS is working to make a good turbo kit for the ka's for a great price
stay tuned.

rb and ka are both iron blocks. sr is aluminum but it has a fully closed deck and is probably the strongest all-aluminum engine out there. go sr, hands down.

It's just I havn't really seen many people running anything faster than high 12's without a rebuild, while there are mildly upgraded RB25 S13's running 11's and even high 10's on the factory block, so that's what was making me more interested in the RB.... My all motor civic hatchback was a high 12 second car, so I would definately like something with a little more balls
