Not really what you asked, but I recomend the Big28 that I had on my car. Spools quick as fuck and effcient over 20lbs. Not too expensive but then again it is just a rebuild. As you may have seen I made 332HP on that turbo and I feel it still had some potential left in it. Other than that all I can say about the Disco Potato is that a bunch of ricers got a hard on because a magazine told them to.

Just my opinion

thats good. let the ricers be slower...

While i really enjoyed the big 28 on your car Mike, I really think the S15 turbo is probabally a better sized piece of equipment for the SR.. I'm sure mattback and enthalpy can chime in on this, but i'm going to look for the thread were we talked this over already..

aahhh here it is...

I was trying to defend the BIG28 and got shot down badly the further down you read.. seems the only bonus of the big 28 in the end is cheaper cost, esp if you have a junkyard T25, but even then its not a lot of savings. I'd rather go S15

If Im not mistaken the reason for the hype is the potato turbo has virtually no spool time, which is why they chose it for the autocrossing silvia. Also that car broke into the twelves, but I guess thats shit power.

Well, it would be interesting to see what it can do in capable hands not just Super safe Jim wolf shat...I mean Who knows...Explore new options, thats why im leaning tward Pulsar turbo, with cams I would expect nothing but low spool times on T28's/T25's

The S15 turbo spools just as fast if not faster than the disco.... Disco is total crap, just let it die... They would have broken into the 12's on the stock T25 if they knew how to drive...
