Default Just a few SR Q's

With my setup now, I'm at about 240rwhp @ 13.9psi

What could I expect from an HKS exaust mani, camshafts, and camgears? This would be tuned of course by SS and maybe 15psi.

Another Q is, if you knew you were moving out the country in December, would you still do it?

The car is definitely fun as is, but a lil more kick wouldn't be bad either .

I was thinking about either doing that, or just go all out and get the BigT28 rebuild. My goal is to be able to run 12s on streets and open dif, and have a good low end powerband. As it is set up now, I start boost around 2k already.

Just wondering what you guys think/know.

Well how soon and how long will yo be outta the country?

JDM S14 has the big T28, he pulled a 12 with a blown seal on the turbo and a crack in the exhaust manifold, i'm sure he has a 12.1 in that car.

on a S13 you might make 11.99 or lower with those mods and a good 60' time.........

As far as the BigT28, thats what i plan to use on my roadrace/drift/autox S13 next summer.... Its a perfect turbine for your application, it spools fast and hard and maintains a pretty flat powerband.. lemmie find JDM S14's dyno and link it. its pretty sweet...

Here is the pic... he makes more power than a stock PS13 from 3500 RPM... and 300RWHP from like 4200.. thats rocksolid to me....

Leaving in december and will prolly be "for good", unless stuff happens. I'll be back just to visit and take care of tax stuffs.

I'm trying to decide between the exhaust mani + camstuffs, or BigT28. What's the pros and cons of each? I want it to be as "streetable" as possible. I know the BigT28 = a long downtime, which sucks.
Either way, I'm taking it with me cause I plan on gettin an s13 silvia, or 180sx (leaning towards the silvia).

12's ?

s-15 ball bearing turbo
Secret Services SPL ROM tune
cams
injectors, z-32 mafs

lots of practice at the track.

good to go!!

throw in the HK$ turbo manifold for extra punch!! i am not a big fan of the Big-28. they use alot of old technology tricks that aren't necessarily the best when compared to the newer factory stuff. s-15 turbo has been proven to be a great turbo for up to 330 whp. you should need less than that to run 12's I ran 13.1 on stock turbo, FMIC, 1 bar. BumpinPSI did the same. the key is to keep the weight down in your car. dont go adding stereo and crap like that. it only slows you down.

wow i didnt know there was a big difference between the S15 turbo and the BigT28..... but isnt the S15 turbo expensive to buy usually? and the Big T28 can flow to like what 350-360whp?

Won't I need new piping done to get the s15 t28 to fit?
I'm trying to keep everything in a small budget, like around $2k if possible.
I know I already have a slight weight advantage w/ the coupe.
Maybe stiffening up the suspension w/ bushings or something would help.
I'm not looking for crazy peak hp, just something w/ a nice kick in the low-mid range. It's a daily beater, not a race car.
