But what about the T3 idea?

heres the downsides i'm thinking of..

1. Need a new manifold to fit the T3

2. If you upgrade to a new manifold, you might as well run a T3/To4B at the LEAST, or better off a T3/T4 50 trim...

3. For close to the same results the S15 turbo is both cheaper, stock looking, and capable of the power we want...

manifold.
downpipe.
oil/water lines.

all problems with t3 straight...for what gain? none. the newer technology has allowed us to get more power out of smaller turbos.

s-15 turbo for 240-320 Hp (mods adn boost depending).

cant really go wrong there.

the z31 t3's on KA motors put down between 200-250whp from what i've seen so far, nice upgrade for cheap on a KA with a jgs log, great for a budget setup. for an SR id pick the gt28/s15, they are in better condition, that price on cheapturbo.com for almost $800 is pretty decent, most s15 ones i used to see were around 850, and ballbearing will put the s15 > z31 in terms of spoolup time. the KA owners ive talked to who have it are hitting full boost in the late 3k's, 3800-4100, take charles' setup for example of s15 on sr and hes full at 3400 or so.

even with a z31 and rebuild like slash and scott say, there is the manifold/fluid lines/o2 turndown to rework

I was wondering though if you had a stock nissan t-25 could you put t-28 wheels in it? I know its not ballbearing but would it be cheaper than buying a bran new turbo, because I would just leave the stock turbo on it and drift the shit out of it.
