I'd say that your chances of doing a RB26DETT are quite low....
But if youve got a fortune to spend then by all means go for it

 

fortune, hell - im working with a west coast shop on a great deal:
rb25 xmember, oil pan and tranny, rb26dett longblock, harness, ecu - all for 3500 shipped. boo-yah!!

Ya lots of good deals on the internet lots different when it comes to actually it being on your doorstep. As far as for the question on my CA that I posted earlier... All a brake booster needs is just a vacuum source with a check valve. The hard part was brake lines.. which only really cost $21 at Amazon. Anyways... later all

I just dont see how he could do it for that price.. but if he can i DOUBT it'll have a startup warranty and be in any good sort of condition.. I'd really have to see it to believe it..

crazy fucking custom downpipes to make that work

R30A transmission is a good 100 lbs heavier at least than the W71C tranny not to mention it hits all sorts of things in the transmission tunnel and requires a crazy custom driveshaft.

The time you put into it, to make everything work, will be insane. I don't suggest you do it and claim its bang for the buck.

you're out 1000 bucks on the SR and you still need to get intercooler, exhaust, custom downpipes instead of a 150 dollar downpipe solution, and other things that's going to make it a major pain in the ass. not to mention you have to do electric fans and custom mounted on the other side, makes your a/c condensor have to be relocated to make it work. Did i mention your front swaybar is going to hit the oil pan if you are not careful??

It's not as easy as you think. Trust me. I'm putting an SR into an HS30 right now. yeah baby, what the fuck is up.

 

mattback, is that S30 a Z fever car? is that what the guy decided to do instead of SR20 in my Z31?
