the car will be getting completly reupholstered once the car gets finished with this stage to include brand new carpet and suade alot of stuff silvia head liner and silvia seat belt conversion to include the oh shit handle and goodies..

and maybe it was answered, but why isn't the inside of the firewall being painted? :-\ or any of the interior (not necessarily to match but not even a nice black coat?)

Definetly hit with the fenders, they're 80x better than the origin ones going on the hatch IMO


I'm normally preaching the same thing on roof spoilers, but hey not my car not my paint. Hell the paint, I definetly wouldnt do the same on my car, but its cool as sin in person.



And really, you guys worrying that much about the inside of the firewall, UNDER the dash and interior panels, who here is going to take the dash out at a car show to inspect behind the a/c components ?

It'll get the A pillars, and other areas that may show at the edge of the interior plastics sprayed, but yeah, full interior car, worrying about color matching underneath the dash, now thats just a bit silly.

 

I know most of it won't show, but if you're building a car of such magnitude, I usually just consider that a thorough job. At least spray it with just the black, not necessarily all the glitter stuff. Then again, if I built a car like that, I would have the chassis on a rack, and would have scraped the entire bottom of the car and relined it with a fresh black rhino liner or something.

 

Dan - Hell yeah, a Chassis rotisserie would be awesome to take all the stuff off and rhino lines the underchassis/wheel wells. etc I would paint the wheel wells
I think thats a crazy long process for a super detailed subframe and underchasiss lol looks amazing though! The Silbeer car is too awesome for words



I asked the same thing about the inside and got the weird look when I asked why not, but then I realized what he meant by it by it being a waste of paint, my RHD car was blue originally and with the dash, plastic panel pieces, and kicker panels. I never saw the firewall. ever.

Mike - I agree. The Rocket Bunny Aero is dead to me because of Formula D. It was awesome when there was only one.. :/ and Japanese power-plant. (wait for it..)

The only issue is the gaps that the 180sx/Silvia apillar/seatbelt panel combo with the 240sx headliner

but that's fine because you'll have to buy an entirely new headliner anyway to match the moon roof/panel pieces anyway :]

The Supermade Aero looks amazing fitted properly and ziptie less.

 

Silbeer vs this build, i'll take a gray firewall that cannot be seen, over overspray on the harness grommet every day of the week.
