Replacement dampers are $125ea ? iirc, so $500 in dampers alone for NEW, Even though most of the other stuff will last better, I cant see paying nearly what it costs or more, for a used set compared to the rest of the setup new, being that who knows how long the used setup will last you at this point.

Only way i'd pay something considerable for a used setup would be Bilstein, Ohlins, or better.

I dont think it was a bad deal. The chance of him having to replace even one damper is hardly even worth notice. KTS hold up extremely well. Its not like buying them new would of been any different other than it would of been an extra $300.

I've had my coil-overs for over 3 years and driven the shit out of them and they're just fine.

With any luck, yes he'll have them with no problems, hopefully, but for the $300, I just would have went for new, the wear thats already on them, the mounts etc just not worth the $300 to me.

this is what i was going off of. i wasnt scared to buy these used since i know what you've put yours through and theyre still going. i bought brand new k-sports when i was in high school and they didnt even last 2 years before one of the shocks blew.

and, update:

loomed up the headlight/blinker harness:

did the diff bushings. just as fucking annoying as doing subframe bushings:

rear brakes in:

put in one of my sparco pro 2000's

Wear on the mounts? Last time I checked mine which was 3 days ago they looked perfect bearings are still nice and tight. The piston shafts are perfect and so are the seals. Mine dont even have surface rust on them. So unless the original owner drove his car through salt fields daily or used them to go off roading theres no real reason to think that they're going to be in anything except usable shape when he gets them.

He bought legit stuff used in good condition, stop complaining about it.

Diff/Subframe bushings totally suck and make a total mess and are a nightmare to install. I fucking hated doing mine.

KTS are great coils. i actually went with a 4k spring in the rear with 6k's up front. you will never have to worry about these coils, they are really made well. kind of wish i still had mine. NOT a horrible price either.
