IIRC you line the notch on the paddle up with the dot on the housing at TDC.

yeah pretty sure its right then. there was a dot on the housing and a line on the paddle. thats just weird that it could just randomlly go bad after a motor rebuild? oh well, if i keep having the same problem i'm putting the spare cam sensor in and hopefully it fixes the problem. i'll let you guys know what the outcome is.

if its still showing a knock sensor code then try grounding the knock sensor.

Make sure you figure out the knock sensor issue before you beat on the car. Also check for boost leaks. If you're still running rich I would look into the O2 sensor and the coolant temp sensor.

Coolant temp is new, Pretty sure I don't have any boost leaks but I'm not promising anything. And yes I need to get a new knock sensor soon, should I buy a 2g knock sensor? I heard they were better?

and I'm buying a wideband, does that replace the stock o2 sensor? Cause if thats the case then I wont waste money on a new oem one.

Yes, the AEM wideband can simulate a narrowband output.

It can, but IMO its not ideal. You should have another bung welded in the exhaust that is 24-36'' downstream in the exhaust. If you put the sensor back there to keep it from getting fried, then you are gonna have some lag during closed loop. Its kinda annoying.

There is a lag...true. However your computer, EVO, DSM, Nissan, and yes even Hon-DUH, use long term fuel trims to compensate. Granted these come from short term fuel trims, which are a function of your front o2 sensor input over time. Using the narrowband sim may not be 100% accurate, but these value are within 10% in my experience
