Like I said, it's different. 4G's have been done to death. I'm not knocking the platform; It's just refreshing to see someone build something different. It's the same story with the GM 350, it's been done to death.

I wanted to build my 420a--then decided not to just because I want a truck. Building a 420a is really pretty reasonable. I had a 2.4 bottom end, along with a COMPLETE, FULLY BUILT head that came directly from Crane Cams that I got for a grand. Find some srt internals for that 2.4, and you have yourself a pretty nasty longblock you put together for reasonably cheap.
Spraying it will not only cost you less, but probably end up running better than turboing your 420a.

Everybody knocks the 420a because its weak stock. Pistons/rods (along with supporting mods ie fuel etc) and its a strong fucking motor

exacly!!!!! chris here is very correct! u can spray ur motor like crazy and u will be fine.
And just so u know a stock 420a eclipse 5speed puts 119 hp to the wheels. I dynod my friends at my uncles shop in bradenton just to see what i had. it was completely stock.

awesome. thats what i'm doing. so far i'm buying forged pistons, and a 50 wet shot nitrous kit. any other tips? parts? websites where i can get these parts? you lay down a list, ill do it lol.

Well if ur doing pistons, might as well do rods. It's just a good idea. U can even buy higher compression pistons. I have 10:1 JE pistons. I recomend them just cuz I like then LOL. And u will can even use a 75 shot with that.

Dude, I'm telling you. Sell this and go GST or GSX. It will work out so much better in the long run. You could sell your car now for about 3-4k and then take the extra money you would spend on the turbo kit and buy a nice, mildly modded 4G63 preferably AWD and you will be so much happier.

oh ya, for sure a builder error man. theres noo freaking way a new engine would blow withing a week and a half by my fault. i was still breaking it in. i didnt even do anything crazy with it yet lol. its all stock crap so far. so i was like wtf, fix it for free a hole. and he is.
