Meth is great but I have seen people have a lot of problems locally. More than a couple people have gone through four or five pumps. The down time waiting for the pump to come back. Seen a couple people with no safe guards melt pistons. Seen a couple people for one reason or another fill their cylinders and bend rods. So to say meth is the best solution is wrong. It might be a cheaper solution in short

Even pump gas is fun for a while. Once you want to step up to the big dogs you're going to need race gas
I'm sorry people local to you have been having problems with methonal. Does that make it meth's fault? Are they using pumps that are made to handle meth or just throwing any pump in and expecting it to work? So because people don't have safeguards and melt pistons or are hydrolocking their motors is meths fault also? It's not meths fault they don't kn ow how to setup the car right or tune it right.

Meth is the best solution. Big dogs dont run race gas they run meth or nitro. Look at all the pro classes in racing, they all run meth. All the street classes don't allow meth and require race gas cause guess what, meth is better. I'm talking real meth, all meth not meth injection. And I'm talking in all racing not just little local import bs.

C16 is $65 for a 5gal drum my wholesale cost and VP Import is $110 for a 5gal drum

So my cost is $13 and $22 for VP import which would be more to customers

I dont use meth. Never have. Probably never will. No reason to. Race gas suits my car fine as it's not a daily driver. You would have to ask the people using it. I wont name names but they're on the board and some in this thread

Meth is not the best solution. That's my opinion. Your opinion is meth is. Everyone has different opinions. I'm not talking about top fuel. I'm talking about the quick to fast cars on the street here. To compete with them on the street we have to run race gas. Maybe it's different where you live. Dunno

Serious people usually buy gas by the drum. If they dont they usually have a friend/shop they will sell it to them at your cost. And some even get it cheaper than $13.00/$22.00

That is the cost broke down from 5gal drums of both fuels. I'm sure some can get it cheaper when they go with a bigger drum but there's just no money in that stuff so it's pointless to me to have it taking up space.

I think methonal is a better fuel for racing period if you look at it compared to race fuel. If most of the cars you are racing are running race gas they are in the same league as cars that run methonal. Just because a car might run straight meth people think it's some amazing race car and can in no way be a street car when you look at it compared to 95% of the cars that run race gas it's the same shit just a different fuel for different(i think better) reasons plus you can save weight and spend less doing the same as those with race gas.

I'm not saying youre right and im wrong or im right and youre wrong. I just think it's a bullshit excuse that if a car decides to run methonal on the street instead of race gas that it makes it a race car when it's the same stuff and the cars running race gas are in the exact same situation as the car running meth usually.

If it's a fun street car then why does it require race gas and can't go fill up at any regular gas station? To say that a car that can only run at top performance on the street requiring race gas or vp import is any more of a street then the same car but with meth has no grounds to stand on. Both cars you can't fill up except at a special place or your garage and your car cant run top notch without it, but with meth atleast it's cheaper and you can save weight by ditching the FMIC system.

Well enjoy being slow on the street then . I'll drive my STREET car on the STREET with my RACE fuel and be consistent and pay my way ..

Bouncy A/F's and blown motors , I think i'll pay to play

The only way to use alky is through a secondary fuel system running injectors.

I will never use meth again, ever its to corrossive
I will use Ethonol E98 in my secondary fuel system, pump and injector safe

If E98 proves inconsistant on a fuel injection set up than I will run C16

Alpha is right, meth kits can be dangerous if they fail. I went through 3 pumps on my system alone when I had it. I also hydro locked once thank god for crower rods, for that no engines were hurt during that session. Nothing but issues, Jerry has come up with an awesome set-up if he cares to mention it.

I will be using a secondary rail and cell to support my additional high octane fuel needs. Thats the best way to go!

Then you have people in this thread saying race cars run race gas. I dont get it. It's still a gasoline. Just trying to keep up with the bigger displacement cars

Jerry has had his share of problems with meth injection and meth injection kits. I'm sure like anyone he has learned a lot about it over the years and has finally come up with a some what nice setup

very true, we are all getting tired of the standard alky kits. Even Jerry is switching over to E98 and will be testing it on his new injection set up!!!!

I'm not talking about meth injection. I'm talking a straight meth car. So bouncing a/f's and blah blah you don't have to worry about. Same thing with the pumps, their are thousands of cars out there using external pumps built for methonal with no problems. Yes it is corrosive but if you use the car enough it doesn't matter cause it's always a fresh supply and it's not just sitting there.

Enjoy being slow on the street with a straight meth car? Jap do you have any clue what you are talking about or what is even being discussed here?

I agree with people who don't like meth injection setups. I don't really like them either but it's more of just personal preference on my end. But for the "street" cars who can only run full tilt on race gas to say a car running full tilt on straight meth is not a street car is not a valid argument.
