jdm eclipse???
The fact that you can find the car in another country does not mean it was made for them. EX. Skyline...You can find them in this country, but that does not mean it was made for the U.S.
Also if you look at your pics of the gullwinged eclipses they are left hand drive. Car produced specifically for japan, england, and austrailia are right hand drive.
What is your point on the tail lights? They are called european bc they are based on european design. Plus they fit in with the euro eclipses, that are also left hand drive.

The swap is really easy. The only thing you would need to put evo brakes on a 2g are the steering knuckles from the newer galants(not sure on year but theres a write up on dsmtuner somewhere, and its the u.s.model galant not japanese). and u need to edge up the dust shield a little. other then that all the lines hook right up.(you'll need larger wheels obviously then the stock 16" gst wheels. I think 17's would work
[quote=WhiteFwdsm;4428278]From what I gathered long time ago on DSMtalk the guy who posted these was from Japan and some of the parts to do the brake swap would be hard for anyone to do here in the States without sourcing out parts from across seas from a type of Galant or Galant style they offer in Japan.

the 4g63 is a jap motor. the bodies are built in the states. and no the eclipse was not sold in japan. I'm sure there are a few running around in japan, but they wernt built to be sold in japan, euro eclipses are the closest to jdm you will get and the only real difference are the tail lights and mirrors.
and i will personaly bow down before any person that can show me a stock right hand drive eclipse. they dont exist.
